I am an artist living in Bethesda, Maryland, which has been my home for over 30 years. I grew up in Oregon and the landscape of the West features prominently in my work. I have drawn and painted all my life, but began painting seriously seven years ago, when I took drawing and painting courses at Montgomery College in Takoma Park and painting classes at the Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo, Maryland. During the Covid pandemic I continued my painting studies in portraits and interiors through online courses from the Washington Studio School in Washington, DC and life drawing through online figure drawing sessions from the Scottish Borders Life Drawing Club. Recently, I began to paint abstracts and to abstract my landscape paintings.
